The Garland Cubs welcome you to our web ball
park.
Please feel free to run the
bases and slide in at home.
The Cubs
will have a pure 15u team for
2010 and play in the BBI Premier
League starting in May. We will
also play in tournaments and
finish the season in a 48 team
tournament in Crystal Lake, IL.
This tournament will feature
teams from Puerto Rico, The
Dominican, Canada, Russia, New
Zealand, and the Panama. WOW!

National
Invitational
Championship NIT in
Crystal Lake,
Illinois. The Cubs
were undefeated in
the tournament,
going 5-0, defeating
the Wasco Wildcats
in the Championship
game 7 - 4. |

The Cubs won the
2008 BBI League
Championship for the
3rd time in 4 years.
Finishing the season
15-0-1, they
defeated the
McKinney Marshals
Black 5-4. The Cubs
also won the
championship in 2005
and 2006,
finishing 2nd in
2007. |


THE ROAD TO OMAHA

The Garland Cubs 13U
Major Division
Baseball Team
traveled to Omaha,
Nebraska and played
in the 2008 USSSA
Road to Omaha
Championship
Tournament June 13th-15th
and for the second
year in a row, the
Cubs came home with
the championship!
The Cubs went 5-0
and outscored their
opponents 72-12 to
bring home the win!
In pool play, the
Cubs faced the
Romeoville Rattlers
of IL and the Salina
Pestinger Pirates of
KS. They defeated
the Rattlers 16-0
and the Pirates 9-0
earning them the #1
Seed going into
bracket play on
Saturday as they
were the only 2-0
team to give up no
runs. In bracket
play, the Cubs faced
the Barrington Colts
of IL defeating them
by a score of 19-3.
They then faced the
Tulsa Oilers of OK
defeating them by a
score of 15-7 to
earn their way into
the championship
game on Sunday where
they came up against
the local favorite,
the Omaha
Gladiators. With
great team work,
strong bats, and all
around smart
baseball, however,
the Cubs defeated
the Gladiators 13-2
for the win and to
bring the
championship home to
Texas!
The team's season
record is 40-16-1.

The
Cubs
won
7
games
in a
row,
going
3-0
on
"Championship
Sunday".
Outstanding
pitching
and
defense
was
the
key,
as
the
Cubs
did
not
give
up a
run,
winning
8-0,
1-0
and
1-0
in
bracket
play
on
Sunday.
The
Cubs
won
4
games
in
the
16
team
"Mantle
Division"
and
gained
the
#2
seed
going
into
Sunday's
Championship
Bracket.
